“The Bedazzled Microphones of The Queen of Music”


Here it is I only spend what's on my mind and find some resources that are so very very minimal about this case but very helpful for me (*thanks to Mbah Google and Mariah Daily Journal)
Ok guys in fact I’m in love with Mariah Carey in terms of anything from her, anything, I said anything, her childhood, her struggle, her look, her style, her life, her hubby Mr. Nick, her children Roc and Roe and of course her Angel Voice.
But in here I’ll discuss a little bit about something very important for a world-class caliber of singer like Mariah Carey, it is a Microphone, yeah a Mic, maybe it sounds silly, it’s just mic anyone can have it guys but her microphone is very special and no one have it not because her mic is very sensitive or expensive but she makes her own  microphone, a custom microphone something shiny, sparkle, expensive (*hellooow she’s a world diva rite) and the most importantly thing is only her who has it on earth on the planet , can u guess it? Yeah you’re right “The Bedazzled Microphone”
In the middle Emancipation of Mimi in 2005 Mimi started to use a several custom microphones for her great shows during her Biggest Comeback after the “sufferings things” (*So sucks to talk about her breakdown anyway)
Mimi loves shiny things so she made all of her microphones encrusted with crystals and she made it with Swarovski Crystals. Not only her Microphones but also her Mic stands.

Here we go, I’ve researched several appearances of Mimi in a few years back and I guess she started using it in mid-2005, first time at MTV Music Video Awards, 28th August 2005, National Hotel, Miami, Florida, USA.
Mimi entrust for speaker device to the one of the vendors who’s very expert and it’s Shure and for the type I’m still confused because there’s no sources that says what the kind and the type of Mimi’s microphone. But “Shure UR2 Beta 87A” or “Shure KSM9” or both of it hehe only God and Mimi knows.
She made some beautiful colors of it they’re Pink, Blue, Gold, Black, Red and White Sparkling.

And here’s my explanation, the examples and where she used it. And by the way this is only on the basis of my own thoughts so hehe please advice me if there is any incomplete or untrue review of mine.

 "Custom Bejeweled Gemstones"
“Mimi perform at World Music Awards ‘05”
          This is Mimi's first Custom Microphone eva, not pure all the mic body covered by the jewels but some big diamonds gemstones embedded around it with warm colors like a brown, dark maroon and baby blue saphire with the basis color of Silver Blue something (*I don’t know what the exact color name, hehe).
She looks like a barbie girl in the World Music Awards with her bandana, so cute,,

          Good choice dahling Mimi hehe! Just as cute like you. Mimi loves Pink and even she makes her own color called “Pink Yet Lavender” and music industry in America still paying their respect to Mimi with The Empire State Building in Pink Yet Lavender shine in entire weekend in honor of great New Yorker and her #1 album E=MC2 in 28th April 2008.

“Mimi perform at NFL Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show”
          This one is the next cute Mimi’s Microphone in Blue Color, actually I don’t know what the exact color of it, is it Baby Blue, Blue Navy or Turquoise haha I’m not expert in this case, ah whatever ^_^.
I like her performance at NFL Thanksgiving, she was taken by hottest hunks with stretcher to the main stage with flirty style and sassy while singing “Shake It Off” with a suit-style baseball player and she entered into a giant butterfly to change clothes and then came out with “Don’t Forget About Us” while holding her bedazzled Blue Mic.

  • During “The Adventures of Mimi World Tour 2006” at Green Gown, Fourth Session (With this mic Mimi was sing I Wish U Knew, some snippet song, One Sweet Day, Hero and Make It Happen before the encore)

          During The Adventures of Mimi Tour she was so goddess and she took a shower and spraying the bronzer gold 24-karat to all of her body and that’s why she identified all of her stage stuffs so it looks matching, the gown, the hair, the skin, the microphone and even her mic stand.

So festive to see Mimi running around the stage to the right to the left in her 12cm sky high heels, her choirs and hit her signature whistle register in gold mic while singing her gospel song “Fly Like a Bird” right XOXO.

          It looks so elegant with the encrusted Black Crystals around the mic and her flawless voice makes one great combination.
Mimi has 2 distinct black mics, the difference is the head part and I think it’s still the same one but in the head part can be changed according to changing tastes because in the latest Mic products from big manufacturer has provided several options of Mic Heads that can be selected and even you can order a different colors

          The first time Mimi sang with her Black Mic is during The Adventures of Mimi Tour. Roller Coaster Opening followed by It’s Like That intro and then she came out from under of main stage using Hydraulic Stage with 2 pieces bikini black-robed and then she start sing “I came to have a party”.

"Custom Bedazzled Red Crystal"
          Yay ^.^ this is my favorite color ever and Mimi loves Red too beside Pink Yet Lavender, she said that Red is like a Christmas time full of joy and cheers (*just my own thoughts ^_^) and her shoes, her gown in every event always dominated with red color and of course her mic definitely bedazzled Red Ruby Crystal.
That’s why Mimi not so much sing perform using her Red Mic because she only used it at Christmas event and even in her Christmas concert 2 years ago she didn’t used it (*I’m so tragic and miserable lebayatun) but she used it again last year when the Global Christmas Extravaganza, virtual concert in several countries in Europe.

"The Bedazzled Sparkling White & Silver Crystal"
         I think this one is her most favorite microphone ever proved by she always used this microphone in every show for nearly 7 years of her career. No wonder if she loved it because of the simple design, elegance, glamour and very neutral so it’s very suitable if used and applied in any dresses, any atmosphere and any event.
Similarly like the black one, white mic also has 2 different versions at different initial appearance on the mic head.

          But in early 2008, E= MC2 era she had to use a different microphone, Mimi uses the latest release of Sennheiser SKM2500i but Mimi only use in some events and after that Mimi returned to the old one her Shure  Mics, even though Mimi was also put the bedazzled crystals on around her Senheisser body.

          And Mimi became the first singer who use this Microphone while the other singers still use the same level under Mimi (*according to my own thoughts based on my very very hard, exhausting and heart wrenching research ^,^v). After a few weeks some top-class singers such as Beyonce, Seal, Rihanna using this Mic, Christina Aguilera also use it and ordered with custom red light with her name X-Tina on it.
